NTVY014 (Physical education I) [swimming] - swimming with flippers! just backstroke though, it was a little fun although the top of my left foot hurt a bit after

NMAI057 (Linear algebra 1) [lecture] - finished skew fields with fields based on modular arithmetic and started vector spaces, including funky things like a vector space of systems of sets with the function of symmetrical difference

NMAI057 (Linear algebra 1) [tutorial] - continued on with permutations, one person decided to go do a problem on the board in front of the class and he was so bad at it it made the teacher rather mad.. it made me feel really bad but on the good side i comprehended all of what we went over!

no class on tuesday due to the state holiday

NTVY014 (Physical education I) [swimming] - breaststroke arms and breathing.. i struggle with breathing on time.. usually end up breathing in some water

NMAI057 (Linear algebra 1) [lecture] - symmetrical groups and attributes of permutations like the sign and amount of inversions and the inversion of the permutation (2 different things!!) then we started skew fields, nice stuff

NMAI057 (Linear algebra 1) [tutorial] - there was a quiz again, i think i demolished and left only one piece of rubble (there was an equation of matrices and the solution only worked on matrices that commute so i wrote out all the possibilities when they commute but forgot about the inverse, after the quiz we inverted some matrices and did some things regarding attributes of permutations

NTVY014 (Physical education I) [swimming] - we finally did proper backstroke, arms and legs and everything! and also breaststroke legs but on stomach, still no breaststroke arms though

NMAI057 (Linear algebra 1) [lecture] - attributes of inverse matrices, attributes of regular matrices, and matrix equations, after we started with groups and its axioms: association, neutral term and inverses.. also abelian groups

NMAI057 (Linear algebra 1) [tutorial] - quiz, i thought my solution was good but i must have made a small computational error because when plugging in my answer on the first row it was off by two and i didn't find the error, after the quiz we did proofs of matrix arithmetic statements, then matrix multiplication.. one is clearly easier, but either can appear on next week's quiz

making this post a day late, as i was very tired yesterday

NTVY014 (Physical education I) [swimming] - we did backstroke, legs only, and breaststroke, legs only.. very simple, but rather tiring

NMAI057 (Linear algebra 1) [lecture] - reduced echelon form of a matrix and that for every matrix it is unique, matrix products and rules for them (they associate but don't commute), proofs of the rules, definition of the inverse of a square matrix

NMAI057 (Linear algebra 1) [tutorial] - started with a quiz again, but i absolutely demolished it, as in i made two mistakes but was able to find them in time, after quiz we found every solution of a system of linear equations using parameters a few times, it's kinda good i think

NTVY014 (Physical education I) [swimming] - we had a swimming exam last week and i didn't swim 100m in 3:15 so i have to take swimming classes this semester, it was just the very basics for now, which i know, i am capable of swimming, just not very good at it

NMAI057 (Linear algebra 1) [lecture] - we went over how to solve a matrix, then homogeneous and inhomogeneous matrices and how they relate, that you can solve a homogeneous one generalised then get a single solution of the inhomogeneous one and add the resulting vertices together to get all the solutions of the inhomogeneous one

NMAI057 (Linear algebra 1) [tutorial] - we started with a quiz, it was very straightforward, we were given three non-collinear points on a plane a had to get a parabola through it.. i failed however, made a small mistake and noticed it too late to fix it.. after the quiz we did a few matrices, some homogeneous some not, it's rather simple
